Vinyl Gimp Trim (Use around Pontoon Paneling)

  • $25.00

Gimp Trim was used for years before the creation of Q rail for pontoon railing.  It protects boaters from the sharp edges of the aluminum paneling and provides you with a clean factory finish all around the outside of the fence paneling.  To use gimp trim, cut it to length needed with regular scissors, place it over the edge you wish to cover, raise the outer lip and either drill through the panel, backside of gimp trim and front of railing to apply a rivet or use a stainless steel self-tapping screw to go through the panel, back of gimp trim and into the railing.  Once fastner is applied simply release the top lip of the gimp trim and it will cover all fastners and provide you a seemless factory finish.  Total height of gimp trim is 7/8” inside the lip is 5/8”.  Designed like a Y allows you to hide not only the sharp edge but also the screws or rivets used to attach new fence panel.
